STATEMENT & FAITH

The following statement of faith are adopted by general meeting of Immanuel Myanmar Church on January 17, 2010.

SCRIPTURE

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God," in the sense that the Holy Spirit so guided the sacred writers that the words they wrote constitute the Word of God. We believe the Bible is the final authority and is fully sufficient for all matters of faith and conduct.

(2 Tim. 3:15-172 Peter 1:19-21)

JESUS' SACRIFICIAL DEATH

Salvation for men and women has been provided by the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, who died as our substitute, shedding His blood for the remission of our sins. (Rom. 5:6-21Col. 1:12-1420-221 Peter 1:18-23)

THE CHURCH

The true Church is composed of all who are born again; that the Holy Spirit baptizes all believers into one body, endowing the Church with the gifts needed for its work. Therefore, we make every effort to rise above all personal differences, prejudices and racial barriers to maintain the unity of the Spirit in love and peace both within this local body of Christ and the larger body of Christ around us. (Rom. 12:4-191 Cor. 12:1-27Eph. 4:1-16)

01

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching. rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. The Bible is the most authoritative. (2timothy 3:16)

02

Christ is the Saviour Lord born of the Holy Spirit incarnated as human being. He died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. (1Co 15:3-4)

03

God has given us eternal life through Jesus Christ. (John 1:12/1John

04

We believe that eternal life cannot be lost. (Eph 1:13)

05

We believe Jesus Christ will come again and gather His Church (holy ones). We who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1Th 4;17)

06

Jesus will come down on earth and judge all the nations as Lord of lords and King of kings.

07

Those who accept Jesus as their Saviour should be baptized and should participate in Holy Communion. (Act 2;41-42)

08

The church is led by the pastor, and all services are discussed and implemented together with the elders. They all obey the rule of God.

09

We recognize civil government derives its just powers from the sovereign God. We believe all the church members have to obey the rules set forth in accordance with God's will.

10

Those who slept in Christ will be raised at the last trumpet with the holy body to inherit the imperishable and immortality. (1Co * 15 / 50)

11

We accept God is a Trinity of three Persons-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one God.

12

It is the will of God that every believer should live a holy life to glorify God and to teach and spread the gospel to all nations.
