              The following statement of faith are adopted by general meeting of Immanuel Myanmar Church on January 17, 2010.

                           

I. We accept God is a Trinity of three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one God.

 

II. We believe that the Bible [both Old and New Testament] is the inspired Word of God, which is the complete revelation of God’s salvation; the Bible has the ultimate authority for teaching by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavors should be judged. 

 

III. We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born the Virgin Mary. We believe that Jesus Christ gave His life for our sins, and He is the only way to salvation. 

 
IV. We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ. The Spirit also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service. 

 

V. We believe that the Church comprises all who have been justified by God’s grace through faith in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which are the visible expression of the gospel. We believe believer’s baptism, and that only baptized believers are allowed to partake of the Lord’s Supper. 

 

VI. We believe in the personal and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.
